Villa Galina is located in a small village Gala near the town of Sinj and it is about an hour's drive from the city of Split. In Sinj you will not only get to know the Dalmatian culture and tradition. If you go to Sinj in the summer months, you will experience the traditional horse riding competition “Sinjska alka”, which is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. If you are going to the coast, be sure to visit Split, the largest city in Dalmatia. In Split, you can visit numerous historical sights and take part in many cultural events, especially in the summer months. The most important landmark of the city is certainly the Diocletian's Palace, but the Cathedral of St. Duje is also worth visiting. To enjoy the magnificent view of the blue Adriatic Sea, climb the Marjan hill. In Dalmatian towns, you will not only enjoy beautiful architecture but also taste the specialities of this region. So don't forget to try Dalmatian ham (prsut), homemade olive oil or fish dishes in local restaurants and taverns. For all active vacationers, we recommend going on an adventure through numerous cycling and hiking trails.
