Premantura is the southernmost spot of the Istrien peninsula, located only 10km from Pula - the famous tourist centre. Premantura was built on the slightly raised part of the Cape Kamenjak - the sunniest place in Istria. The 30km long coastline offers plenty of beaches, bays and small islands, ideal for sunbathing and families. Premantura is surrounded by the sea from three sides, which make it the ideal place for windsurfing and kayaking. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy tennis, mini-golf and boccia courts. Cape Kamenjak provides this part of Istria with some magnificent protected landscapes that proud themselves with clear blue-green sea and 530 plant species, some of which are endemic. Building in the Cape is forbidden and it is best explored by bike. Pula is the largest port and the tourist centre of the Istrian peninsula. The symbol of this city is definitely the twenty centuries-old city Arena, where gladiator fights and hunting spectacles were held during the Roman time.
