Charming villa near the gorgeous beaches on Pag

This special island of salt whose surface looks like the moon is located on the northern part of the Croatian coast. Pag is the fifth-largest island and one of those with the longest coastline. Although you can not find many towns and villages here, this island has a rich history. It is famous for its cultural and gastronomical tradition (Pag lace, high-quality sheep cheese, lamb meat) Village Metajna is a charming little touristy place with beautiful, natural beaches just 10 km away from Novalja. Once a fisherman village, today it is mostly a place for a peaceful, family holiday. Still, you can have a long walk along the sea promenade and if you like to fish there are plenty of opportunities to buy them locally, fresh from the net and enjoy it together. If you want to explore the island you can visit healing mud locations, sightsee stonewalls, old churches or nearby touristy cities on the land (Zadar, Nin). Be sure to visit the salt and lace museum on Pag, those are the two most recognizable landmarks of this island.
