Luxury stone villa with private pool near Rovinj

The village of Cabrunici sits in the southern area of Central Istria, in the municipality of Svetvincenat. It has access to the highway to Pula via an old local road which makes it an extremely peaceful and noise-free place with no excessive traffic from which it will take you about twenty minutes to get to any sports, tourist and cultural facility in the area. The area of the present day village was inhabited as early as the Ancient times, while the settlement as we know it today was established in the 16th century by the refugees fleeing Dalmatia in attempt to escape the Osmanli. Approximately one hundred and twenty of the people in the village decided to follow their ancestor’s footsteps in pursuing the traditional trades of olive and grapes growing, and breeding small cattle, all of which contributed in developing the region’s irresistible gastronomy – truffles, fuži (traditional Istrian pasta), pršut (smoked ham), goat cheese or maneštra (traditional Istrian vegetable stew) seasoned with home-made olive oil and accompanied with renowned Croatian Malvasia or Pinot.
