The main town on the island of Rab is the town of the same name, Rab, which is situated on the west coast of the island. The beautiful medieval old town, adorned with four bell towers, will take you back to a bygone era. In the narrow and lively streets you will find a wide selection of stores, cafes, bars, restaurants and much more. During the summer months, numerous concerts, exhibitions and events take place here.
From the gastronomic aspect, Rab will definitely satisfy your desires. Fresh fish and seafood are the main food of the locals. Octopus salad, calamari, fish soup and mussels are just some of the delicacies that can be found on the menus of numerous konobas and restaurants. The most famous dessert is the Rab cake.
