Lovely stone villa with private pool near Motovun

Villa Mamma Mia is located in Oprtalj, a lovely little town in Istria, just 7 km away from the fortified town of Motovun. The captivating hilltop town of Motovun is surely the most famous and attractive Istrian medieval town and one of the characteristic symbols of the Istrian interior. Motovun is known as a town-monument and offers spectacular views across the hills blanketed with vineyards, hamlets and farmhouses, and the magical forested Mirna Valley - the longest river in Istria. Traditional local festivities as well as a renowned international film festival are hosted here, bringing this peaceful little town to life. It is also famous for local Teran and Malvazija grapes, virgin olive oil, home-made cheeses, prosciutto, barbecued meats, and of course white and black truffles, all of which can be sampled in restaurants within the many villages and towns of the area. There are numerous hiking and cycling trails, one of the most stunning of them being the historical Parenzana (only 10 m from the villa), the old railroad route, which today is used by walkers, cyclists, as well as offering a unique ride on a tourist train.
