Stone villa with private pool in Central Istria

If you want to experience rural Istria up close, then Villa Mate is the right place for you! In a small village near Pazin, is this former farm property, which has been renovated and adapted to the needs of the guests, but without losing its original charm. As soon as you enter the large property, which is surrounded by typical dry-stone walls, the great garden catches your eye.
The refreshing pool invites you to swim, sunbathe and relax. A covered dining area with a grill promises many nice barbecues with family and friends. Spread over 3 buildings, Villa Mate has 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 8 people. In the main building, there is a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. The second building has a small living room, kitchen, and bedroom. The third house is an apartment with a living-dining area with a sofa bed, a bedroom, and a nice bathroom.

This beautiful Villa Mate is located in Central Istria, on the heartland of breathtaking peninsula Istria. The Cave of Pazin and the Castle of Pazin, which inspired French writer Jules Verne for his novel “Mathias Sandorf", are just a short drive from Villa Mate (5 km). Central Istria is known for a landscape of small, picturesque medieval towns which irresistibly remind of Tuscany or Provence. During your stay in Istria visit the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica (Unesco heritage) in the Historic Centre of Poreč (30 km) and well preserved Roman amphitheater in Pula (45 km) or just enjoy on the nearest beach. While staying in Villa Mate you can also enjoy local cuisine and a glass of good Istrian wine.
