Villa Mare Monti is situated on the hills of the Kvarner Bay and it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains and the surrounding green Vinodol valley (Vallis Vinearia). This unique property is located at the end of a quiet, steep and narrow road in the hills above Crikvenica.
The modern décor and amenities combined with traditional architecture will provide you and your family/friends with a comfortable place you can call home while vacationing on the Adriatic. The Villa was built back in 1909, and in 2013 it was tastefully furnished and completely renovated to provide you with ample comfort during your stay. Villa Mare Monti is situated on a very private terraced land where you can enjoy our outdoor heated pool and sunbathe on a wood decked terrace with a panoramic view of the valley and a fortress from the Middle Ages.

Parallel to the coast, runs the 25-kilometer-long Vinodol (Wine Valley), a stretch of land almost untouched by the streams of tourists struggling their way south on the coastal Magistrala.This valley is separated from the sea by an over two-kilometre-wide and 300meter-high range of hills. It was first mentioned in a 12th-century chronicle under the name of Vallis Vinearia. There was a road running along this valley even back in the Ancient Roman period. Located on a slope of those HILLS lies this property and offers great views over Vinodol valley and, at the same time, complete privacy for the guests. Nevertheless, it is located just a 15-minute drive from Crikvenica - a tourist hot-spot where you will find numerous restaurants, beautiful beaches and all kinds of activities if you are looking for an active holiday. The closest shop can be found at 2 kilometres and a restaurant at 5 kilometres from the property.

We just came back home from the most wonderful stay at Villa Mare Monti. This villa is absolutely beautiful, and the location is stunning. The view over the Vindol Valley , and the medieval castle is breathtakingly beautiful! We love the fact that there is so much interesting history about the villa and the surroundings. We had the most relaxing time in this comfortable, very well equipped villa. We spent our time making lots of little trips, relaxing by the pool, hiking in the mountains. The photos show how beautiful this place is, but it's even better in reality! It is very peaceful and quiet and private, which is perfect for us. The villa is charming, nicely decorated, renovated with great care, clean and in top condition, one can't ask for anything more. Our hosts Mario, his sister and parents are incredibly helpful and nice. Lots of nice personal touches like fresh flowers and herbs. Cookies and fruits on the kitchen table was really appreciated. Everything in the kitchen to make it easy to cook a meal, spices and so on. We were sad to leave, and we definitely would like to return again soon!
Wir haben Anfang September eine wundervolle Woche in der Villa Mare Monti verbracht und es war einfach nur toll. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene, 1 Baby und ein Kleinkind. Vom Kinderbett bis zum Stromkabel um das E-Auto zu laden wurde alles zur Verfügung gestellt. Bei der Ausstattung der Villa wurde auch an alles gedacht und es ist nicht notwendig etwas von zu Hause mitzunehmen. Mario ist auch rund um die Uhr erreichbar und hilft gerne mit tollen Tipps (Restaurant, Strand. usw.) weiter. Unsere Erwartungen wurden weit übertroffen. Wir möchten uns nochmal bei Mario und seiner Familie für diesen tollen Aufenthalt bedanken. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. :)
